How do you honor someone who has died? How do you carry on their work? And so that would be the purpose of what I wrote. And I gave a significant amount of money to APO in honor of him. And I thought, yeah, you know what? I haven't donated to APO in years and years, so I better put my money where my mouth is, because APO, for me, was so transformative and so important. [Sharing a memory on LifeWeb] awakened in me the thoughts of, why have I been disconnected from this group that was so important to me for so long? And I reached out to some of the people that were at APO. I think I could be a speaker if I were to go to homecoming or to speak in front of my chapter or a larger forum. So that's where I am. Is okay, this is a wake up call that you were out of touch, and why aren't you doing more? Who's, who's the torchbearer now?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely! The site includes a customizable call-to-action button that you can use to send visitors to your current donation page, volunteer info, or wherever you'd like! If a named fund has been set up to honor an individual, you can link to it on their individual tribute page.

  • You're welcome to honor anyone who you consider part of your community on your group commemoration. For example, K-12 schools could honor students, alumni, faculty, and even parents.

  • Little to no additional work. Subscribe the LifeWeb team to a CRM report or periodically send a download of deceased members, and LifeWeb will create the tribute pages. And because your community can now easily report when a member dies via the site, expect more timely and streamlined information on deceased members.

  • All memories go through an AI-moderated review process before they're publicly posted. Any memory with even a 1% chance of negativity is then checked by a real-life member of our team. We've got you!

  • Yes! A 'group commemoration' is a collection of LifeWeb tribute pages honoring people from your community who have passed. It can be filtered by custom sub-groups so that your community can find the people they care most about honoring. E.g. by year, chapter, or major. If you'd prefer separate sites for each sub-group, they can be nested under an overarching group commemoration for your organization, as well.

  • You bet! Whether it's a class reunion, an affinity reunion, or another commemorative event, LifeWeb's sub-groups make it easy to create a slideshow of photos celebrating people relevant to that audience.
