Suggested Facebook Language

Please find below sample language that you can adapt into your own voice and use when sharing your loved one’s LifeWeb on Facebook. All have been used successfully by real families - feel free to choose the version that most resonates with you and tailor, take pieces from each one, or start from scratch!

Option 1

Please take some time to share a memory of our dearest [Name of Person] at the link. This is an online memorial for all to gather and share memories and photos of our time with @NameOfPerson. If you have already shared on Facebook, please post here as well so family members not on Facebook can view them. Thank you ❤️

Option 2

We have been so touched by the outpouring of support on Facebook and elsewhere, but in an effort to capture all the beautiful memories you have of [Name of Person] in one place for [his/her/their] [family/children/etc.], we request you share memories on a memorial website set up for @NameOfPerson
From how [he/she/they] impacted your life down to things [he/she/they] said that made you smile, any memories you can share now and in the future are a tremendous gift for our family.

Please help us spread the word to others who love [Name of Person]. Share memories at: [Lifeweb page link]

Option 3

I'm writing this so my community will know the difficult time my family is going through. In-person support and cards are appreciated, but I do not want FaceBook messages or comments at this time.

There is a memorial website set up for @NameOfPerson where messages can be directed. Thank you for your understanding!  [Lifeweb page link]
