How do I upload a video?
Whether a video tribute, a song, or a video of your person themselves, videos are such a special way to capture your person’s essence on their LifeWeb.
Currently, you can embed a video link into a memory. LifeWeb 360 supports embedding videos from YouTube and Vimeo. These services are highly respected for their streaming quality, upload ease, and video playback control.
Embedding videos from another host helps your video load faster, and provides multiple options for video hosting. For these reasons, there's no option to upload a video memory to your loved one’s LifeWeb page, but you can share a link from these hosted sites.
Hosting options for your video
Before adding a video to your person’s LifeWeb, first you’ll need to upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo or choose an existing video to share. To learn more, click here to learn how to upload to YouTube or click here to upload to Vimeo.
I’ve uploaded my video to Youtube/Vimeo, now what?
Next, you’ll want to locate the link to the video. On both YouTube and Vimeo, navigate to your video’s page. Then, either copy the URL or click the “Share” icon underneath the video which will also give you the option to copy the URL to that specific video.
Please note that you may need to adjust the privacy settings to your video so that it is available to anyone with the link.
When you have your link ready, head to your person’s LifeWeb and click the yellow “Share a Memory” button. You’ll see an option to “Add Video” and be prompted to add your link there. For a walk-through tutorial, learn more here.
Why are Related YouTube videos playing after mine?
YouTube automatically displays related videos after a video finishes playing. This is a YouTube feature that isn't controlled by LifeWeb and can't be disabled. To prevent displaying related videos, try hosting your video on Vimeo. Note that some services require a paid account to disable related videos.
